Greetings readers and fellow philosophers!
Over the last few days I've had the chance to have a great chat about voluntaryism and other philosophical principles over at the Off-topic board of civfanatics.com. Lots of skeptics have raised plenty of great critiques which I may be posting here with a refutation sometime soon. Thanks to all the folks who participated in the discussion!
Anyways, I've been going through a decompression period of my life after leaving college. When nearly 14+ years of your life are structured for you by strangers, it's somewhat of a shock to begin to take control for yourself. It's nearly half a year into life-unstructured and I am finally getting a sense of self-guided efficacy and control. This blog is one example for myself, working full time is another. I have plenty of ideas for expanding my operations as a social activist and nothing is more exciting to me than that.
The goal is to spread the truth and any step in that direction is a joyous one. I hope you will be joining me in that journey, I could use all the help I can get!
Emotions!
Emotions!Rich, deep, powerful
As mineral veins
Spontaneous and winged
As a horse without reins
Weathervanes of life
Emotions.
...
With a goal unknown to all,
upon which you must learn to call,
the wise and strong emotional
compass of the brain.
Self-control
The immature mind is an echo chamberwords reverb without will.
Ideas can flash, but then in an instant,
the external world returns and it fills
that empty chamber, despite the need
to direct ourselves, live autonomously.
So, pick yourself up,
construct reasoned boundaries,
learn to focus your thought.
Don't let another decide who you are.
Don't let another decide who you're not
Nice poems dude, would be great if you wrote one day something about the English metre and prosody, I really really wanna learn how to versify in english!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of stylized or formatted poetry.
ReplyDeleteGood poetry is not measured by the standard of an arbitrary form, but rather the power of it's message.
